District History
The founding of the Pasadena Rotary Club in 1920 signaled the beginning of District 5300. The District now comprises 57 clubs and approximately 1800 members. District 5300 takes pride in the Rotarians from the District who provide a tradition of leadership to the Rotary world. Rotarian Jim Speers, Rotary Club of Covina, served on the Board of Directors of Rotary International. Rotarian Bill Walk, Rotary Club of Ontario, served as President of Rotary International in the 1970 Rotary year. Rotarian John Chase, Rotary Club of Builder City, served as the Zones 26-27 Director from 2027-2029. We also salute the past district governors who have served District 5300.
