This month, Rotary District 5300’s Inclusive Leadership Podcast #8 invites every Rotarian, club leaders, new members, and partners across our Circle of Impact to reflect on a simple but powerful practice, acknowledging our strengths and our areas for improvement.
In Rotary, leadership is service. When we recognize what we do well, mentoring members, welcoming new voices, and building community partnerships, we honor our gifts and strengthen fellowship. When we name where we can grow, listening more deeply, improving accessibility, expanding outreach into our Active Adult communities, and embracing diverse perspectives, we live Rotary’s core values of Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity, and Leadership.
Self-awareness makes our clubs stronger and more welcoming. It helps us communicate with empathy, lead with humility, and create space for every member to thrive, no matter their background, culture, ability, or life experience. Professionally, it builds trust and accountability. Personally, it encourages lifelong growth. In Rotary, it helps us lead with purpose.
As leaders in District 5300, let’s celebrate what we do well and commit to growing together. Inclusive leadership is progress, honesty, and collaboration in action.
